Moldova is drafting new regulations governing market access for tractors and other agricultural and forestry equipment: registration and commissioning will now require type approval and a declaration of conformity. The initiative has already passed its first reading, but questions are being raised in parliament about exactly how the oversight system will work and whether it will lead to an increased burden on the used equipment market.
Through the Kusanone Grant Program, Japan has provided Moldova with $8 million in grant funding to date for the implementation of 98 projects in the fields of health care, education, and public services.

Moldova's exports to markets outside the EU and the CIS increased significantly in January–May, and their share of total exports continued to grow. However, trends varied by market: some markets saw steady growth, while others experienced a noticeable decline, indicating a significant restructuring of foreign trade flows.
