This was stated by Takeuchi Kazuyuki, Japan's ambassador to our country, who noted that he and embassy representatives participated in the Moldova Business Week 2026 event organized by the Investment Agency. The forum brought together investors, companies, and delegations from around the world interested in exploring business opportunities in Moldova. During the event, embassy representatives met with representatives of Japanese companies and organizations participating in the forum, including Takenaka Corporation (Takenaka Europe), PADECO Co. Ltd., and JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization), which has an office in Bucharest. "We are pleased to note the growing interest of the Japanese business community in the Republic of Moldova!" said Takeuchi Kazuyuki. According to him, the embassy also facilitated a meeting with Doina Nistor, Chair of the Board of Directors of Moldova HiTech Park, and representatives of the Investment Agency. The parties discussed a number of topical issues, including: modern technologies and earthquake-resistant construction solutions for the future Moldova HiTech Park; the development of professional skills in the fields of engineering and IT, as well as cooperation with universities; regional transportation and rail infrastructure; and the growing popularity of Moldovan wines in Japan. The participants agreed to stay in touch and continue the dialogue on opportunities for future cooperation.
