According to Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu, the published document confirms that the energy reforms implemented in Moldova over the past two years are bringing the country closer to the European Union and strengthening our energy independence. "We have over 1,000 MW of installed renewable energy capacity, functioning electricity markets, a gas market that is more open to competition, and major infrastructure projects that will increase our cooperation with Romania and Ukraine. We have also made progress in improving energy efficiency, including through programs to support households. "These results were achieved during a challenging period when we had to manage crises while simultaneously building a safer and more modern energy sector," Dorin Junghietu emphasized. He thanked his colleagues at the Ministry of Energy and all the teams in the sector for their work, noting that behind every process are people who have made a tremendous contribution. The Minister of Energy thanked the European Union and our country's other partners for their continued support and trust in Moldova. "We still have a lot of work ahead of us, and the European Commission's assessment clearly shows where we need to pick up the pace. However, the direction of development is clear: toward a robust energy system integrated into the European market," Dorin Junghietu emphasized. // 05.11.2026 — InfoMarket
