This was stated by Moldova's Ambassador to China, Petru Frunze, who also noted that regional cooperation is an important area for strengthening relations between Moldova and China. During a working visit to Henan Province, the diplomat met with Chen Hongmin, Deputy Mayor of Zhengzhou, as well as with representatives of the Henan Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs (Henan). The parties discussed the development of a direct partnership between local authorities in Henan Province and Moldova, as well as the identification of specific economic cooperation projects. Promoting Moldovan wine on the Chinese market was identified as a key priority. Petru Frunze proposed increasing the participation of Moldovan companies in exhibitions and trade fairs in Henan Province, particularly to promote wine, as well as facilitating their access to retail networks in the region. Another key topic of the visit was a tour of the Yutong plant, one of China's largest manufacturers of buses and industrial equipment, where the parties continued discussions on the possibility of assembling Yutong buses in Moldova. At this stage, the company is analyzing the proposals and opportunities presented. The diplomat noted that direct interaction with regional and local administrations in China opens up new opportunities for Moldova, establishes partnerships at the mayoral level, promote Moldovan products, identify new markets, facilitate contacts between companies, attract investment, and transfer expertise and technology. Henan Province, with a population of about 100 million, is one of China's most important regions. Its capital, Zhengzhou, with a population of about 12 million, is a major economic, industrial, and logistics hub. For Moldova, strengthening ties with such a region represents a real opportunity for cooperation in many areas. "We are continuing our dialogue to identify promising projects for Moldova," stated the Moldovan ambassador to China. // 11.08.2026 — InfoMarket
