The National Highway Administration announced this, noting that the project calls for a complete reconstruction of the existing bridge, as well as a major overhaul of the adjacent 300-meter section of the R34.3 highway, which has two lanes, each 3 meters wide. The new two-span bridge will be 23.4 meters long. The work includes restoring the road structure, installing a stormwater drainage system using concrete gutters, reinforcing the road shoulders and slopes, and installing road safety features. Finally, road markings will be applied, and traffic signs and metal guardrails will be installed in accordance with the technical specifications. To date, the old bridge has been dismantled, a monolithic concrete foundation for the new structure has been prepared, and waterproofing has been completed. In addition, precast reinforced concrete elements have been installed and the joints between them have been sealed. Work began in late June and is scheduled to be completed in November. The contract value of the work is 12,582,200 lei. Funding is provided by the Road Fund. // 12.10.2026 – InfoMarket.
