
The total amount of grants to support the state budget of Moldova in 2025 will increase by 3 billion 643.5 million lei (12.5 times) - from 317.8 million to 3 billion 961.3 million lei
This is provided for by amendments to the Law on the state budget for 2025, which the government approved on Thursday. The changes provide for the inclusion in the revenue part of the state budget for this year of financial assistance in the form of EU grants allocated within the framework of the Moldova Energy Independence and Sustainability Program, an increase in the amount of World Bank grants, as well as grants for projects financed from external sources. In particular, the amount of grants from the European Commission to support the budget of Moldova will increase by 25 times - from the planned 100.5 million to 2 billion 515 million lei, and the amount of World Bank grants will increase by 36% - from 217.3 million to 295.7 million lei.
