This follows from the NBM data, according to which, at the end of 2023, the National Bank of Moldova's foreign currency reserves amounted to $5 billion 453.14 million. According to the NBM, the NBM's reserve assets in securities as of December 31, 2024 amounted to $4 billion 565.16 million (at the end of 2023 - $4 billion 297.22 million), the total amount of deposits amounted to $910 million 978.28 thousand (at the end of 2023 - $1 billion 139.28 million). At the same time, deposits placed in other central banks, the Bank for International Settlements and the IMF amounted to $910.43 million (at the end of 2023 - $612.7 million), in banks headquartered outside Moldova - $547.1 million (at the end of 2023 - $526.58 million). Gold reserves were estimated at $6.26 million (at the end of 2023 - $4.91 million). As previously reported by InfoMarket, the foreign currency reserves of the National Bank of Moldova in 2023 as a whole increased by $978.97 million (+21.9%), amounting to $5 billion 453.14 million as of December 29 against $4 billion 474.17 million at the end of 2022.
