
Moldova's external public debt increased by $125.26 million (+3.39%) in January-October 2024, amounting to $3 billion 821.47 million at the end of October
As reported to InfoMarket by the Ministry of Finance, in particular, for 10 months of 2024, net external financing amounted to $202.12 million, since the volume of new loans received in January-October 2024 amounted to $501.36 million and turned out to be higher than payments on the principal amount of external debt for the specified period ($299.24 million). At the same time, for 10 months in 2024, the negative value of fluctuations in the exchange rate of the US dollar against other currencies amounted to $76.86 million, and as a result, in January-October 2024, the external public debt in dollar terms increased by $125.26 million (+3.39%) - to $3 billion 821.47 million at the end of October.
