
In Q1 2024, Moldova received external state loans worth $51.5 million (equivalent to 916.6 million lei), which is $132.1 million (71.9%) less than in the same period of 2023.
As noted in the materials of the Ministry of Finance, at the same time, the largest amounts of loans to Moldova in January-March 2024 were transferred by: the European Investment Bank - $20.7 million (40.2% of the total amount); the French Development Agency - $14 million (27.2%); the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development - $9.3 million (18.1%); the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) - $2.3 million (4.5%); the BGK Bank (Poland) - $2.2 million (4.2%); the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) - $1.7 million (3.4%); the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development - $1.3 million (2.4%).
