The portal https://buget.mf.gov.md is planned to be improved; it will reflect data from the integrated information system in the field of public finance.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Ion Gumene announced this at a meeting of representatives of the department and the Mission of Senior Advisors of the EU, dedicated to the “transparency” component of the Strategy for the Development of Public Finance Management for 2023-2030. The portal https://buget.mf.gov.md, which is one of the elements of ensuring budget transparency, was launched in 2019. According to Ion Gumene, adjustments and development are expected in the near future, which will ensure public access to data on public finances in a convenient format and will simplify the processing of information. The strategy involves the development of an integrated public finance information system, into which various modules will be integrated, such as tax administration, customs administration, payroll and the public procurement system. Thus, processes in the field of public finance management can be automated, while simultaneously offering the public access to financial data and information through a user-friendly interface. During the meeting, EU Senior Adviser on Public Financial Management Janis Jankovskis emphasized the importance of ensuring public finance transparency in existing systems, especially in the EU accession process. He also emphasized the important role of transparency in strengthening citizens' trust in government institutions and the need to introduce European practice in this area. Participants in the discussions noted that at the moment there are many databases in the field of public finance, but they do not provide transparency and predictability. The development of an integrated information system will reduce the cost of database management and will reduce the time for informing, since all information related to public finance will be available on one resource. This will increase the budget transparency index, as well as the level of financial literacy of citizens. // 20.12.2023 — InfoMarket
