
In the third quarter of 2023, the average salary in Moldova amounted to 12,357.2 lei, an increase of 16.1% in nominal terms compared to the same period last year.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, taking into account inflation, the average salary in Moldova increased by 5.9% compared to the same period last year. It is noted that the average monthly salary in the budget sector amounted to 10192.7 lei (+18.8% compared to the same period in 2022), and in the real sector of the economy - 13099.2 lei (+15.2%). The highest salaries in the third quarter of 2023 were received by workers in the ICT sector - on average 30309.5 lei (+14.8% compared to the same period in 2022), the financial and insurance industry - 23463.7 lei (+ 13.8%), enterprises producing and supplying electricity, gas, water, air conditioning – 19048.4 lei (+12.1%), specialists in the field of scientific and technical activities – 14330 lei (+12.8%), in the field of public administration and defense, compulsory social insurance - 13733.9 lei (+17.6%), in the health care and social protection system - 13064.8 lei (+16.6%). The lowest salaries remain in the field of tourist accommodation and catering - 7876.2 lei (+9.6%), in agriculture, forestry and fishing - 8344.3 lei (+16.1%), in the field of art, recreation and entertainment - 8644.9 lei (+19.2%), in the field of administrative services and support activities - 9585.6 lei (+19.2%), in the field of real estate transactions - 9878.4 lei ( +13.4%), in the education system – 9662.9 lei (+18.9%). In the third quarter of 2023, the average salary of workers in the field of transport and warehouse services amounted to 11098.6 lei (+13.5%); in construction – 10778.8 lei (+8.7%); in the field of trade, repair of cars and motorcycles – 11487.7 lei (+18.4%). In the industrial sector, salaries averaged 11545 lei (+14%), including in the processing industry - 10713.5 lei (+13.8%); at enterprises of water supply, sewerage, waste treatment and restoration work - 10225.1 lei (+16.8%); in the mining industry – 10497.7 lei (+15.6%). // 29.11.2023 — InfoMarket
