More than 200 companies will take part in the second Moldova-Romania Economic Forum, which will be held in Chisinau on November 20.

The event is organized by the Romanian Embassy in Moldova in partnership with the Association of Romanian Investors in Moldova and the Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade with the aim of promoting bilateral trade and the investment sector, consolidating and diversifying Romanian exports in the Moldovan market, intensifying investments and establishing new partnerships. More than 200 companies from Moldova and Romania from various fields, including the financial and banking sector, trade, logistics, information technology, etc., announced their participation in the forum. Within the framework of the forum, 3 panels will be organized on the following topics: internationalization of business - the potential of investment in sustainable development; energy efficiency; bilateral trade – consolidation through added value and access to third markets. It is planned that the second Moldova-Romania Economic Forum will be attended by the Prime Minister of Moldova Dorin Recean, the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Dumitru Alaiba, the Minister of Energy Victor Parlicov, the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spinu, as well as high-ranking officials from Romania. As a result, the negative balance of trade between Moldova and Romania in January-August 2023 amounted to $0.9 million against $152.2 million for the same period last year. Romania based on the results of 8 months in 2023 was Moldova's largest trading partner in terms of exports, purchasing the most Moldovan products in the specified period in monetary terms.
