This is stipulated by the draft order of the Ministry of Finance on the approval of the list of participating and reporting jurisdictions with which Moldova will ensure automatic exchange of information on financial accounts. It should be noted that the order is aimed at implementing the provisions of the Law on the implementation of the provisions of the Multilateral Agreement of competent authorities on the automatic exchange of information on financial accounts. The State Tax Service, which is the competent authority authorized to exchange information, will transmit and receive information on financial accounts to/from 122 jurisdictions. Reportable information depends on the category of account or person. For example, in the case of a natural person, the following information is provided for exchange: name, address, fiscal code, date and place of birth of each reporting account holder; reporting account number; fiscal code of the reporting financial institution; and the balance or value of the account at the end of a particular calendar year or relevant reporting period or at the time the account is closed, if the account was closed during the relevant year or period.
