
The National Financial Market Commission (CNPF) has opened a telephone information line for consumers of financial services: 022 85 95 95.
According to the agency, citizens can contact this number to report violations in the area of observance of the rights of consumers of financial services. In particular, consumers can report abuses related to insurance contracts; refusal to pay insurance compensation/reimbursement or failure to meet payment deadlines, improper fulfillment of obligations by the insurer, non-compliance with damage assessment procedures; other illegal actions of insurance companies/insurance intermediaries in relations with clients. Consumers may also report violations in the calculation of outstanding debts under loan agreements concluded with non-banking credit organizations (NBCOs), disagreement with the calculation of penalties under loan agreements concluded with NBCOs, violations in the convening of general meetings of shareholders or violation of shareholders' rights. Consumers can request information on investment funds in the process of liquidation, etc. The telephone line can also be called to obtain information on legislation norms or to share suggestions for improving the system of financial services provision.
