During 2 days, its participants will have the opportunity to interact directly with state officials, entrepreneurs from Moldova and abroad. The event will also be a platform to present investment proposals, to get acquainted with the economic potential of the Moldovan market, as well as to exchange ideas and establish long-term partnerships. The Moldova-Netherlands Business Forum will address both local opportunities and challenges faced by investors in the current geopolitical context, which is also a unique opportunity for all those present to get acquainted with the current situation in the business environment in the context of the war in Ukraine. On the first day of the event, a plenary session will be held to discuss the economic prospects and opportunities for cooperation between Moldova and the Netherlands. After that, the event program will continue with practical seminars in various fields: tax procedures, recruitment, employment, finance and banking. In addition, in order to get to know potential local partners better, economic agents will have many opportunities to network and participate in informational and documentary visits to Moldovan companies. A seminar (G2B) will also be organized on the event platform, where high-ranking officials responsible for the economic sectors of interest will answer participants' questions and present the country's vision, trends and programs in progress. The event is organized by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Moldova in cooperation with the Netherlands Romanian Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Investment Agency of Moldova. It should be noted that the mentioned business forum will be the first event of this kind after the official opening of the Netherlands Embassy in Moldova. Thanks to its reform program and its status of candidate for EU accession, Moldova is in an accelerated process of transforming the business environment, opening the way to new commercial markets and attracting investors. Wine, fresh fruit and even electrical transformers are just some of the goods Moldova exports to the Netherlands. "The country of tulips" is among the first 19 trade partners of Moldova at the world level, the trade turnover between the two countries for 6 months of the current year amounted to $62.2 million. The top products exported by Moldova to the Netherlands are furniture, fruits, sunflower oil, clothes, electric transformers, electric wires, seeds, wine, etc. Moldova is also interested in Dutch products. The bulk of imports are live plants, bulbs, onions, frozen fish, pork, mineral fertilizers and tractors. In terms of invested capital, the Netherlands is on the 3rd place among the main investors in Moldova.
