Moldovan Government approved the Public Finance Management Development Strategy for 2023-2030.

The document aims to improve efficiency, effectiveness and transparency of public finances. The strategy contains 7 main areas of intervention most important for public finance management: macroeconomic analysis and macrobudget framework; budget development and planning; budget execution, accounting and reporting; internal public financial control; tax and customs policies and revenue management; public procurement and transparency of public finances. The Strategy is a continuation of previously launched reforms and will be aligned with the public administration reform strategy. Particular attention will be paid to strengthening human resources, policy planning, provision of e-services and digital transformation and improvement of information systems capacities. The Strategy will be implemented in two phases, with goals planned through 2025 and 2030.
