This is stated in the materials of the Ministry of Finance to the draft Law on the state budget for 2023, which was approved by the government. As noted, at the same time, it is planned to receive external loans for 12 billion 548 million lei (equivalent to $627.1 million) to support the budget, and for the implementation of projects financed from external sources - in the amount of 6 billion 103.5 million lei (equivalent to $305 million). In particular, it is expected that in 2023 Moldova will receive the third tranche of the IMF loan under the new program in the amount of 4 billion 326 million lei (the equivalent of $ 216.19 million) to support the budget, the second tranche of the European Commission under the new agreement on macro-financial assistance - 2 997.4 billion lei (equivalent to 140 million euros), World Bank loan - 2 billion 004 million lei (equivalent to $ 100.15 million), including a loan under the DPO - 2 billion 001 million lei ($ 100 million), loan from the Japan International Development Agency (JICA) - 2 billion 001 million lei ($100 million), a loan from the French Development Agency - 856.4 million lei (40 million euros) and a loan of 363.2 million lei (16.96 million euros) from the European Investment Bank under project for the purchase of locomotives and the restructuring of the railway infrastructure. For the implementation of projects financed from external sources, will be allocated 6 billion 103.5 million lei ($305 million). The main creditor of the Moldovan government in 2023 will be the World Bank through the International Development Association (IDA) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), which will provide our country with a total of 4 billion 359.2 million lei ($217.8 million), which is about 23.4% of the total inflow of external government loans. It is planned that the 2nd place in terms of the total volume of external state loans allocated to Moldova in 2023 will be occupied by the International Monetary Fund, which will provide loans for 4 billion 326 million lei ($216.2 million), which will amount to 23.2% of the total inflow of foreign government loans. The third place will be occupied by the European Union with the amount of external state loans of 2 billion 999.4 million lei ($149.8 million), which is 16.1% of the total receipts of external state loans.
