The Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) has signed the relevant contracts with the heads of the companies founded by the labor migrants or their relatives. The beneficiaries will receive grants of up to 250 thousand lei. According to business projects, 142 jobs will be created as a result of implementation of investment projects, and total investment in national economy will amount to about 22 million lei. Companies have attracted investments from 11 countries: Great Britain, Italy, Germany, France and others. Of the 38 companies, 17 are run by first-degree relatives of migrant workers and 21 by migrants who have returned to their home countries. Of the total number of companies, 22 are already operating and intend to invest in the development of their businesses, and 16 are startups. Almost all of the companies (37) will develop businesses in the 19 districts of the country. Out of the total number of beneficiaries, 30 companies work in agriculture and are engaged in growing cereals, vegetables in greenhouses, fruit trees, vineyards and cattle breeding. Let us remind that the PARE 1+1 cash transfer program is designed for migrant workers and/or their first-degree relatives who want to invest in starting and/or developing their own businesses. The program works on the principle 1+1 - for each leu (MDL) invested by a labor migrant or his/her relatives, the state allocates another MDL in the form of a grant. Till present, through PARE 1+1 program, 1879 enterprises have received grants worth 397 million lei, and the investments in the economy exceeded 1 billion 153 million lei. // 19.08.2022- InfoMarket.
