ODIMM has launched the first series of free webinars as part of a comprehensive campaign to inform and promote social entrepreneurship.
According to the Organization for the Development of the Sector of Small and Medium Enterprises of Moldova, one can watch the first webinar at https://bit.ly/3pX1tuI. As a reminder, the program was initiated and supported by the finance4SocialChange transnational project co-financed by EU funds (ERDF, IPA, and ENI). It will be implemented during November. Within this project, seminars, working meetings and round tables will be organized to familiarize the wide audience with the benefits of social entrepreneurship, the mechanism of its opening and development in our country. In Moldova, there is an extremely low number of companies (only 4 companies with the status of a social enterprise) providing social services such as education, health care, environmental protection (waste processing and storage, etc.). Currently, ODIMM and the Ministry of Economy are developing a new national funding and mentoring program for social entrepreneurship for 2021-2025. The program is intended for individuals and legal entities wishing to open and / or develop social entrepreneurship. It will be divided into 3 stages, providing for the promotion, training and financing of enterprises, in which at least 15% of employees are people from socially vulnerable segments of the population. The program is designed for 5 years. As already mentioned, currently in Moldova, only 4 companies have received the status of a social enterprise, and another 46 companies conduct periodic social policies. // 02.11.2021 - InfoMarket
