The Ministry of Finance informed that, in particular, in January-December 2020, the positive value of net external financing amounted to $413.97 million, since the volume of new loans received in 2020 amounted to $557.4 million and turned out to be higher than payments on the principal amount external debt for the year, which amounted to $143.43 million. At the same time, in 2020, a positive value of fluctuations in the exchange rate of the US dollar against other currencies was recorded, which amounted to $123.36 million, and, as a result, in 2020 external public debt in US dollar terms increased by $537.33 million (+ 31.5%) - to $2 billion 241.42 million as of December 31, 2020.
