Moldova will continue to be in a state of emergency in 2021 and the state will have to actively intervene to further support the population and business, deviating from fiscal rules - Expert-Grup.

According to a study by the analytical center, in the context of a developed anti-crisis plan, but also on the basis of a stable level of public debt, Moldova can increase the budget deficit for the next year within 6-8% of GDP, given that the indicative figure for 2021 is 4.3% of GDP according to forecasts of the Ministry of Economy and infrastructure. In addition, the government's planned support for the population and entrepreneurs this year, directly related to anti-crisis measures, is extremely limited and is estimated at only 0.69% of GDP. In these conditions, the experts consider it necessary to take a number of measures: revision of the work of the National Statistics System; supporting the business environment by removing artificial barriers to bureaucracy, administrative regulation, control and excessive checks; supporting small and medium-sized enterprises through measures to expand access to business digitization; involvement of the Diaspora in the economic processes in the country; increasing the sustainability of the National Economy, taking into account climate change; improving the quality of investment management. According to experts, in 2021 Moldova should support initiatives that can help increase the country's production potential. // 26.01.2021 - InfoMarket.
