In particular, as of September 3, the official reserve assets of the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) amounted to $3 billion 985.2 million. The previous absolute record of the NBM foreign exchange reserves was registered a week earlier - on August 26, when they amounted to $3 billion 976.1 million. Thus, over the last reporting week, the official reserve assets of the National Bank of Moldova increased by $9.1 million (+ 0.23%), and since the beginning of this year they have grown by $201.66 million (+ 5.3%). It should be noted that as of December 31, 2020, the official reserve assets of the National Bank amounted to $3 billion 783.54 million. As InfoMarket agency previously reported, the NBM foreign exchange reserves in 2020 increased by $723.91 million in total (+ 23.7%). In 2020, the official reserve assets of the National Bank exceeded six new maximum historical boundaries at once. In particular, the foreign exchange reserves of the NBM exceeded $3.2 billion on June 12, $3.3 billion on August 7, $3.4 billion on September 23, $3.5 billion on October 23, $3.6 billion on November 27, and $3.7 billion on December 14.
