The NBM has launched the fifth edition of the “School of Modern Finance” program, implemented with the support of the National Bank of Romania and in partnership with the Bucharest University of Economic Studies

According to the National Bank of Moldova (NBM), while the project was previously intended exclusively for students and master's students of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM), this year the program is being expanded for the first time: along with economic journalists from Moldova, master's students from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences of the Moldovan State University will also take part. "The National Bank trains specialists who are capable of responsibly managing the financial sector and also contributes to strengthening economic journalism so that the public can understand economic realities in clear and accessible language. This approach ensures greater transparency, trust, and clarity in the perception and explanation of the economy," said Anca Dragu, head of the National Bank of Moldova. According to her, the current edition involves participants selected through a competition who will undergo a comprehensive program in Romania, combining lectures by experts and scientists, practical classes with specialists in finance and banking, and thematic visits to specialized institutions. The program also includes cultural events and visits to historic cities - Iasi, Brasov, Suceava, and Sinaia. The selected young people expressed confidence that the program will grant them a unique experience, especially considering that this will be their first opportunity to work in a European central bank such as the National Bank of Romania. The “School of Modern Finance” program aims to support young people in their professional training and to foster a strong economic culture among both novice economists and representatives of the economic press. // 08.09.2025 – InfoMarket.
