By October 1, licensed banks in Moldova must switch to cash register equipment connected to the MEV system
The State Tax Service reminded that banks are required to switch to the use of cash register equipment (CRE) connected to the Electronic Sales Monitoring system by October 1. The Interdepartmental Commission on CRE approved this decision in March of this year, and starting from April 1, this requirement must be met by currency exchange offices, their branches, or hotel currency exchange offices. The State Tax Service also notes that 7 equipment models will be excluded from the Unified Register of Cash Register Equipment by the end of July, and another 1 model by the end of October: TREMOL S02, ACLAS CRL, DATECS DK-350, ELTRADE A 100S, ELTRADE A 300S, ELTRADE A 600, DAISY EXPERT MD, and DATECSDP-50P. Economic agents using these cash registers must remove them and replace them with new ones compatible with the Electronic Sales Monitoring system. The list of certified cash register models and suppliers is available on the website mev.sfs.md. The taxpayer must submit an application for registration of cash registers through technical assistance centers (for each unit of equipment). Recall that the Electronic Sales Monitoring information system is an information resource that provides information on transactions carried out using cash registers, real-time sales monitoring and risk analysis. // 17.07.2025 — InfoMarket.
