
Over 200 students signed up for the "Money Road" tour, a financial education event organized by the NBM and banks on the occasion of the Moldovan Leu Day celebrated on November 29
According to a press release from the National Bank of Moldova, the tour will start at the NBM, which will open its doors to children and young people, "becoming a friendly and interactive space for financial education." Visitors will be able to discover the exhibition hall and admire the collection of commemorative coins issued by the National Bank of Moldova, as well as coins from other countries, get acquainted with the historical documents of the NBM presented at the exhibition, and hear a story about the emergence and evolution of the national currency. Students, as well as all those present, will be able to watch a presentation on the security features of the Moldovan leu and their modernization. The second part of the tour will take place in the premises of licensed banks, which have prepared interesting and useful financial education events for young consumers, aiming to give them a clear and informed understanding of the financial sector. The "Money Road" trip, which is being held for the 6th time, is an opportunity to educate young people financially and stimulate their interest in financial issues. The goal of the annual event by the NBM is to meet the society's need to educate a well-informed generation capable of making responsible financial decisions that can contribute to their personal well-being and, indirectly, to the well-being of society as a whole.
