The net profit of Moldovan banks in January-February 2023 amounted to 881.2 million lei, an increase of 385 million lei (+77.6%) compared to the same period in 2022.

According to the data of the National Bank of Moldova, all 11 banks of the country received profit for the 2nd month of this year. At the same time, about 740.8 million lei (84% of the total net profit) fell on the share of 4 banks: Moldindconbank, Maib, OTP Bank and Victoriabank. Another 7 banks earned approximately 140.4 million lei of net profit. Herewith, for 10 banks that made a profit in January-February 2023, its volumes increased compared to the same period in 2022, and for 1 bank it decreased. As follows from the data provided by the National Bank of Moldova, in particular, in January-February 2023, the largest net profit was received by: Moldindconbank - 225.18 million lei (in January-February 2022 - 120.02 million lei), Maib - 200.19 million lei (132.57 million lei), OTP Bank - 160.81 million lei (64.04 million) and Victoriabank - 154.65 million lei (97.36 million). Further, in terms of net profit in January-February 2023, there are: ProCreditBank - 31.17 million lei (in January-February 2022 - 20 million lei), FinComBank - 30.15 million lei (13.76 million lei), BCR Chisinau - 25.57 million lei (6.82 million lei), Eximbank - 16.71 million lei (17.79 million lei), Energbank - 16.37 million lei (13.83 million lei), Comerțbank -13.34 million lei (5.17 million) and EuroCreditBank - 7.08 million lei (4.84 million). // 20.03.2023 — InfoMarket
