The National Bank of Moldova will hold an Open Doors Day on June 4 on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of its foundation.

The NBM reports that after the experience of reorienting financial education events into an online format due to the pandemic, the central bank is returning to the possibility of live communication with the public. Thus, those wishing to visit the National Bank will be able to see the exhibition hall, which houses a collection of commemorative and jubilee coins issued by the NBM, as well as commemorative coins donated by other central banks. Visitors will hear the history of the national currency, learn what its security features are and how they can be checked, and be able to ask questions on financial topics to get answers that will guide them in their daily lives in a multitude of financial aspects. Interested parties can e-mail requests for attendance to edufin@bnm.md by June 1 at 16:00, indicating the number of participants, age and contact information for the responsible applicant, after which NBM staff will contact them. Afterwards groups of 20 persons will be formed and will be waiting at the National Bank from 09:00 till 16:00 every hour. Thus, the access to the NBM building will be carried out on the basis of lists drawn up in advance. Schoolchildren under 18 years old should be accompanied by an adult, who will be responsible for the safety of minors during the tour. Adults will present identification at the entrance and, like underage visitors, will wear safety masks. The planned events are public, so photos from the tour may be posted on social media. Participation in these events will constitute consent for tour participants to post appropriate photos. The NBM Open Doors Day is an interactive communication event that the National Bank promotes for the public by providing useful information on financial topics. // 31.05.2022 – InfoMarket
