Moldova will accelerate structural reforms and improve the coordination of foreign aid to modernize the economy as part of the EU-funded Growth Plan

In particular, the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization organized the event “Impact4Moldova – Coordinating Impact and Partnerships for the Implementation of the Growth Plan.” The meeting served as a platform for dialogue between government agencies and international development partners aimed at optimizing the structural reforms and investments necessary for Moldova’s modernization. The event highlighted the importance of strengthening the coordination of external assistance and ensuring the measurable impact of activities supported under the Growth Plan in the context of the country’s European path. As noted, the implementation of the Growth Plan remains a priority in Moldova’s efforts toward economic modernization and alignment with EU standards. The Growth Plan includes 153 measures, structured across 7 areas, representing the authorities’ coordinated efforts to modernize the economy, support the private sector, and improve public services. During the event, discussions focused, in particular, on the following aspects: methodological framework for assessing the impact of external assistance on the implementation of the Growth Plan; updated information on the status of reform implementation and monitoring mechanisms; and strengthening coordination and cooperation between the government and development partners to maximize the effectiveness of development initiatives. Participants emphasized the need for consistent implementation of reforms, the importance of effective coordination among institutions, and the involvement of civil society to achieve concrete results for citizens and the business community. The need to strengthen public outreach was noted so that the results of reforms are more visible and better understood by citizens. In the near future, efforts will focus on accelerating the implementation of planned measures, strengthening monitoring mechanisms, and utilizing available funding opportunities. The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization stated that it reaffirms its role as a catalyst for economic modernization, and the success of the Growth Plan’s implementation directly depends on the quality of partnerships and the ability to absorb external aid. // 31.03.2026 — InfoMarket
