Moldova's external state debt increased by $555.85 million (+13.27%) in January-September 2025, amounting to $4 billion 746.14 million as of September 30

As reported to InfoMarket by the Ministry of Finance, in particular, for the first nine months of 2025, net external financing reached a positive value of $201.91 million, as the volume of new loans received in January-September amounted to $601 million and exceeded payments on the principal amount of external debt for the same period ($399.75 million). At the same time, over the first nine months of 2025, the positive value of fluctuations in the US dollar exchange rate against other currencies amounted to $353.94 million, and as a result, in January-September, the external state debt in US dollar terms increased by $555.85 million (+13.27%), amounting to $4 billion 746.14 million as of the end of September. It should be noted that Moldova's external state debt in 2024 increased by $494.08 million (+13.37%), amounting to $4 billion 190.29 million as of the end of December. // 23.10.2025 — InfoMarket.
