The Moldovan government has approved a reform program for 2025-2027, which will be implemented with EU financial support of €1.9 billion
In particular, the document approved by the Cabinet will determine the economic and social transformations of our country in the coming years. Funds from the European Union earmarked for investments and development projects will be provided in installments depending on the progress achieved in the implementation of the reforms. “These significant financial resources have become available to Moldova thanks to its progress on the European path and will help us build a new economic model based on added value, high productivity, advanced technologies, and innovation as quickly as possible. The two components of the Growth Plan—the reform program and investments—will lead to a strong economy, higher wages, and a good quality of life, as we see in the European Union,” said Prime Minister Dorin Recean. The document approved by the government includes 56 reforms and 153 specific measures, structured around seven main areas, aimed at accelerating the process of accession to the European Union, increasing economic competitiveness, and improving the quality of life of citizens. The foundations reflecting the country's strategic priorities include: economic competitiveness and support for the private sector, connectivity and digital infrastructure, economic governance, social capital, green transition and natural capital, energy security and efficiency, and fundamental values. It is expected that citizens will directly feel the effects of these changes: companies will have easier access to financing; public services will become faster and more transparent; schools and hospitals will be modernized, and road and digital infrastructure will be expanded and improved. The necessary measures will also be taken to reduce energy consumption and encourage investment in renewable sources, which will help to reduce energy costs and protect the environment. The 2025-2027 reform program reflects the government's strong commitment to building a European, competitive, green, and inclusive Moldova that is open to investment and development opportunities. // 07.05.2025 – InfoMarket.
