Minimum guaranteed monthly income in Moldova will increase by 7% as of April 1
Government plans to approve the relevant amendments to the Regulation on the procedure of establishing and paying social allowances. According to the draft, from April 1, the minimum guaranteed monthly income in Moldova will increase from 1634 to 1749 lei for adults and from 1700 to 1819 lei for children. The indexation amount is determined based on the inflation rate in December 2024 relative to December 2023 (7%). The beneficiaries will be 18 thousand low-income families, which receive monthly social assistance - about 2,600 lei on average. The expenses for these purposes were included in the state budget planning for the current year and will amount to about 565.4 million lei.
