In particular, this was discussed during a meeting that Finance Minister Victoria Belous held with the leadership of the National Confederation of Trade Unions: Chairman Igor Zubcu and his deputy, Sergiu Sainciuc. According to the Ministry of Finance, the main topics of discussions were public and private sector wages, revision and improvement of legislation, as well as the implementation of policies focused on social and economic development. The discussions mainly focused on topics such as remuneration of public sector employees, revision of the minimum wage at the national level, and the income tax regime for individuals. During these discussions, the sides discussed the existing challenges and problems in order to identify effective solutions to address them. Following the discussions, the parties emphasized the importance of maintaining an open dialogue with all parties involved, noting that cooperation remains the main priority in the joint decision-making process, which ensures constructive cooperation. Earlier, the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova and the National Confederation of Employers of Moldova proposed to increase the minimum wage by 20% from January 1, 2025 - from 5000 to 6000 lei.
