Prime Minister said this while speaking at the first conference “Pro-Industry Dialogue: Catalyst of Moldova's Industrial Future”. He emphasized that the industry is the engine of Moldova's economy, has the biggest potential for creating value-added and well-paid jobs, which is why the government is constantly working out mechanisms to support this segment of the economy. Dorin Recean thanked the business community for investing in the growth of companies, thus contributing to Moldova's development and creating jobs in the country's villages and towns. Prime Minister stressed that the process of harmonization of the national and local legislation is under way, and the domestic products are increasingly entering the European market. “On the one hand, the European market represents a challenge in terms of competitiveness, but, on the other hand, it is an opportunity to develop business, to scale it up to the level of the European free market,” he said. Prime Minister emphasized that the government is elaborating policies to support the sector, to stimulate the productivity growth and both local and foreign investments. It is also about adapting the education system, improving the skills of the labor force and strengthening cooperation between academia and the private sector. During the conference discussions, authorities, companies and professional associations will analyze the challenges in various industries. Support programs for entrepreneurs, existing investment platforms, dual education and implementation of “green” practices are also discussed. The event is organized by the Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and brings together about 250 companies from all regions of the country. // 03.10.2024 - InfoMarket.
