Domestic debt will increase by 1 billion lei due to an increase in the volume of government securities issued on the domestic market. At the same time, the previously approved amount of 330 million lei will remain at the same level, which is planned to be used this year to repurchase bonds issued for the Ministry of Finance to fulfill payment obligations arising from state guarantees. It is envisaged that in general the 2024 state budget deficit will increase by 1 billion 187.8 million lei - up to 16 billion 777.8 million lei (5.06% of GDP). At the same time, of the total amount, the 2024 state budget deficit, as far as the main component concerns, will amount to 14 billion 096.4 million lei (+1 billion 477 million lei, compared to the previously approved figure), or 84%, and as far as projects financed from external sources - 2 billion 681.4 million lei (-289.2 million lei), or 16%.
