From early 2024 until now, the amount of subsidies allocated to Moldovan farmers exceeded 610 million lei, which is 2.3 times more than in the same period of 2023.
The Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) reported this, noting that in the same period last year this amount reached 261 million lei. In particular, just last week, the Agency for Intervention and Payments approved the payment of 47.75 million lei in subsidies to support farmers, AIPA said. This amount was distributed as follows: 30.8 million lei for 313 requests for additional payments; 15.36 million lei for 32 requests for post-investment subsidies; 1.59 million lei for 16 innovative projects under the LEADER approach. For 2024, according to the State Budget Law, the size of the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development is 1.6 billion lei.
