As noted in the materials of the International Monetary Fund, the forecast of gross domestic product growth in 2023 was kept at the level of 2%. At the same time, in 2025, IMF experts expect Moldova's economy to grow 4.8%, and in the next 3 years (2026-2028) - 5% each year. According to IMF experts' forecasts, in nominal terms Moldova's GDP in 2024 will amount to 342 billion lei ($16.3 billion), in 2025 - 378.1 billion lei ($17.8 billion), in 2026 - 418.8 billion lei ($19.5 billion), in 2027 - 463.9 billion lei ($21.6 billion), and in 2028 - 513.9 billion lei ($23.4 billion). It is forecasted that in 2024 and the following 4 years inflation in Moldova, both average and at the end of the year, will amount to 5% each. It should be noted that there are no official data on Moldova's GDP dynamics in 2023 yet, and they will be released by the National Bureau of Statistics on March 15. Moldova's GDP in January-September 2023 amounted to 214.4 billion lei, down by 0.4% compared to the same period of 2022. The World Bank kept the forecast of Moldova's GDP growth in 2024 and 2025 at the level of 4.2% and 4.1%, respectively. It also left unchanged the forecast of economic growth expected at the end of 2023 at 1.8%. The European Commission lowered the forecast of Moldova's GDP growth in 2023 from 2.8% to 1.7%, in 2024 - from 4.1% to 3.8%, while for 2025 it forecasts a 4.2% growth in Moldova's GDP. // 07.03.2024 – InfoMarket
