As the department reported, in particular, it hosted a meeting of the working group responsible for the macroeconomic framework, budget policy and resource structure, chaired by Finance Minister Petru Rotaru. The meeting brought together representatives of a number of ministries, who discussed a preliminary forecast of macroeconomic indicators for 2024-2027. At the beginning of the event, the head of the Ministry of Finance, Petru Rotaru, noted the importance of this process for the subsequent approval of the medium-term Budget forecast for 2024-2027 and fiscal policy for the next year, noting that this event will help ensure a responsible budget planning process with sound commitments set for the medium term. During the meeting, representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization presented a preliminary forecast of the main macroeconomic indicators for 2024-2027. Further discussions concerned the macroeconomic situation in 2023 and the factors that influenced the evolution of the national economy, the main assumptions that formed the basis for the preliminary forecast of macroeconomic indicators for 2024-2027 and risks that may prevent the implementation of this forecast scenario. The meeting was attended by representatives of the State Chancellery, the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the National Bank of Moldova, the National Health Insurance Company, the National Social Insurance Office, the National Bureau of Statistics, the National Confederation of Employer Associations of Moldova and the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova.
