Data on companies' activities are now available in the Public Depository of Financial Statements - depozitar.statistica.md.
The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, the Ministry of Finance and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) launched the information system "Public Depository of Financial Statements". It is designed to collect, process, store, analyze and publish financial statements, management report and auditor's report of economic entities - private and budgetary institutions. Director General of the National Bureau of Statistics Oleg Cara specified that the depository is an IT solution providing online data related to the financial statements of companies. "It is a convenient tool to find out financial data about business partners, as well as for a wide range of users from academia, researchers and civil society. The system allows viewing and downloading financial reports in various formats, as well as creating tables for analysis based on predetermined criteria," the NBS head said. According to him, the platform will continue to be supplemented and developed, but it is already available for everyone at the link depozitar.statistica.md, as well as on the website of the National Bureau of Statistics in the section "Products and Services| / Public Depository of Financial Statements". The information system was developed with the technical support of the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group) and financial support of the Government of Sweden. The annual costs of the system support will amount to about 240 thousand lei. It is worth mentioning that so far the NBS has collected, stored and summarized financial reports, management reports and audit reports of economic entities, but there was no single information solution that would integrate these reports. The Public Depository of Financial Statements will ensure transparency of the business environment by providing public access to the financial reporting data of enterprises, which will benefit potential commercial partners, professional investors, the general public, as well as interested authorities. The platform will facilitate the publication of financial statements, management report and auditor's report, and all data will be consolidated on a single platform. It will ensure transparency of the public sector, as well as reduce the costs associated with processing and accessing financial reporting data. // 06.02.2024 - InfoMarket
