The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported that, the export of domestic goods for 10 months in 2023 amounted to $2 billion 337 million (69.6% of the total), down by 7.6% compared to the same period of the previous year. At the same time, re-export of foreign goods (after their significant processing and classic re-export) in January-October 2023 amounted to $1 billion 021.2 million (30.4% of the total volume), which is 7.2% less than the indicator of the same period in 2022. At the same time, re-export of goods after processing (clothing, shoes, parts of shoes, chairs, electrical wiring and cables, other products for the automotive industry, shelled nuts, chairs and other furniture, suitcases, textile products, toys, etc. ) amounted to 13.8% of total exports, and classic re-export of foreign goods (gasoline, diesel fuel, vehicles, nuts, medicines, sunflower oil, sunflower seeds, cigarettes, wine distillates, whiskey, gin, vodka, liqueurs, beer, fabrics, knitwear, essential oils, perfumes and cosmetics, travel and sports bags, backpacks, wrist and other watches, corn) – 16.6%. According to the NBS, motor transport was most often used to export goods abroad during the specified period - 81.2% of the total volume, followed by sea transport - 13.4%, railway - 3.2%, air - 1%, fixed transport installations (1.2%). In general, Moldovan exports to the EU countries in January-October 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, increased by 1.2% - to $2 billion 173.5 million, to the CIS countries - decreased by 6% - to $778 .1 million, and to other countries - decreased by 37.8% - to $406.6 million. The share of EU countries in the total volume of Moldovan exports during the specified period increased from 59.19% to 64.72%, the share of CIS countries increased from 22.81% to 23.17%, and the share of countries outside the EU and CIS decreased from 18% to 12.11%.
