This is stated in the Finance Ministry's materials on the receipt of external loans/grants to support the state budget in the first half of 2023. At the same time, the amount of loans was equivalent to 3 billion 048 million lei, while grants - 491.37 million lei. The Finance Ministry said that, in particular, in the first quarter of 2023, Moldova received loans and grants worth 26.27 million euros, equivalent to 824.49 million lei, and in the second quarter - 136.61 million euros, equivalent to 2 billion 714.8 million lei. Thus, within the new program with the IMF, Moldova received on 11 January this year a loan within the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) worth 13.93 million euros (equivalent to 287.07 million lei) and a loan within the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) worth 11.92 million euros (equivalent to 245.78 million lei). On March 17, Moldova received a grant of 283.29 million lei equivalent from the United Nations Development Program (Switzerland and Sweden's contribution to the Energy Vulnerability Reduction Fund) and a grant of 419.48 thousand euros (equivalent to 8.34 million lei) from the Czech government (contribution to the Energy Vulnerability Reduction Fund). In the second quarter of this year, within the new program with the IMF, Moldova received on April 28 this year a loan within the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) in the amount of 63.53 million euros (equivalent to 1 billion 264.09 million lei) and a loan within the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) in the amount of 23.32 million euros (equivalent to 463.98 million lei). Within the new macro-financial assistance package, Moldova received a grant of 10 million euros (equivalent to 199.72 million lei) from the European Union on April 5, a loan of 39.76 million euros (equivalent to 782.32 million lei) on May 3, and a loan of 4.75 million lei on May 31. //17.07.2023 - InfoMarket.
