The electricity prices for residential consumers of Premier Energy were reduced by 14% - to 2.57 lei per kWh, and for FEE Nord - by 10.6% - to 3.2 lei per kWh.
The relevant decision was made by the National Agency for Energy Regulation at an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday, approving the reduction of regulated prices for the supply of electricity to end consumers. In particular, as a result of consideration of applications submitted by universal service providers and guaranteeing service providers, the electricity tariff for residential consumers of Premier Energy, whose electrical installations are connected to low voltage distribution networks (0.4 kW), was reduced by 14% (-42 bani) - from 2.99 to 2.57 lei per kWh, and the tariff for the same household consumers of Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord (FEE Nord) was reduced by 10.6% (-38 bans) - from 3.58 to 3.2 lei per kWh. The new tariffs will come into force from the date of publication of the NAER's decision in Monitorul Oficial. According to NAER, the objective factors that influenced the reduction in the price of electricity supplied by Premier Energy were: a decrease in the price of purchasing electricity from the central supplier by about 20%, which reduced the costs associated with the purchase of electricity by about 198.6 million lei; reduction in costs associated with purchased electricity by about 246.8 million lei as a result of lower prices for the purchase of electricity from suppliers in the region; reduction of costs for the provision of distribution services by about 146 million lei as a result of a reduction in tariffs for the provision of electricity distribution services by Premier Energy Distribution. At the same time, the objective factors that influenced the reduction in the price of electricity supplied to consumers by Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord were: a reduction in the price of purchasing electricity from the central supplier by about 20%, which reduced the costs associated with the purchase of electricity by about 73.5 million lei; positive tariff deviations in the amount of 57.7 million lei as a result of a decrease in the price of electricity purchased in Romania. The Administrative Council of the NAER also approved the price for electricity supplied by the central electricity supplier Energocom in the amount of 3.61 lei per kWh and the specific trading margin related to the activity of electricity supply in the amount of 0.5%.// 05.07.2023 — InfoMarket
