
Consultations have begun on the draft National Program for the Development of Creative Industries in 2023-2027, its budget is estimated at 480 million lei.
The Ministry of Culture, with the support of the Future Technologies project funded by USAID, Sweden and the United Kingdom, in partnership with the Creative Industries Association COR, has developed a draft of the Creative Moldova program. This is the first medium-term policy document of its kind, which aims to provide a holistic and predictable approach to the development of the creative industries, creating a favorable environment and conditions for the development of this sector and increasing its competitiveness. The program was developed taking into account the experience of the British company Tom Fleming Consulting, which participated in the development of strategies for the development of cultural and creative industries in Ukraine, Georgia, Greece, Norway, Turkey and other countries. The Creative Moldova program includes 3 strategic goals: strengthening the creative industries sector through legislative and regulatory levers, joint policies, strengthening the position and brand of the country to ensure economic growth; creation until 2027 of a dynamic and sustainable ecosystem based on the interconnection of creative industries, the use of modern innovative solutions and increasing the export of goods and services of creative industries; increasing the role of creative industries in ensuring socio-economic sustainability. The program will cover the following segments of the creative industries market: advertising and communications; architecture; fashion design (goods and services, including fashion); cinematography and audiovisual production (films and TV); literature and publishing; visual and interpretive arts (including music, theater, photography); createch (games, virtual reality, artificial intelligence). The total budget of the program is estimated at 480.6 million lei, of which 138.25 million lei will be allocated from the state budget, 342.4 million lei from other sources.
