An integrated information system in the field of public finance (IISPF) is being created in Moldova.
It will provide a modern mechanism for data processing and electronic communication between the Ministry of Finance with the State Tax Service, the Customs Service, the National Social Insurance House, the National Health Insurance Company, the National Bank and commercial banks of the country. The government approved the corresponding concept of IISPF at a meeting on May 11. It sets out the goals, objectives and functions of the system, its organizational structure, functions, infrastructure, etc. Today, the Ministry of Finance has many information systems that are outdated and require modernization in order to ensure adequate management in the field of finance. Their integration into a single system will provide safe and reliable access to all applications and resources, improve control over public finances, modernize processes in the Ministry of Finance and budgetary institutions that are involved in budgetary and financial planning, execution and reporting, improve accounting and the introduction of internal audit and management control in the public sector, will allow the use of international standards in the activities of the Ministry of Finance, etc. At the same time, the IISPF will cover the State and regional treasuries, all central and local public authorities will be connected to it, which will allow for the rapid transmission of financial data and the generation of reports. IISPF will interact with the State Register of Population, the State Register of Legal Units, the system of circulation of treasury documents, the state platforms MConnect, MPass, MSign, MPay, MLog, MNotify. For centralized financing of IT services and their modernization, database and application management, maintenance and support of the IISPF, as well as training in the field of public finance, the state budget annually provides at least 55 million lei. // 10.05.2023 — InfoMarket
