ANRE, at a meeting on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, will decide on a reduction in regulated electricity tariffs and prices.

According to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), in particular, distribution system operators, universal service providers and guaranteeing suppliers of electricity have submitted requests to adjust tariffs and regulated prices for electricity supplied to end users. The Agency specialists study the submitted requests and verify the correctness of the submitted calculations in order to prepare and submit draft decisions to the ANRE Management Board. The members of ANRE Management Board will meet on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 10 a.m. to review and approve the regulated tariffs and prices for electric energy. Earlier, the energy regulator reported that new market conditions were created after Energocom, a state-owned company, signed a new contract for the purchase of electricity from the Moldavskaya GRES. "Thus, after suppliers submit contracts, the Agency will take into account the new purchase price of $66 per MWh instead of $73 and will consider the adjustment of tariffs. All information will be published on the official website anre.md," the energy regulator said in a statement. The prices for electricity supplied by Premier Energy and Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord were last reduced as of January 1, 2023. Premier Energy consumers, whose electricity installations are connected to a low-voltage (0.4 kWh) distribution power grid, had their electricity prices reduced by 26% - from 4.62 to 3.42 lei/kWh. For similar consumers of FEE Nord the tariff was reduced by 17.4% - from 4.65 to 3.84 lei/kWh. // 10.04.2023 - InfoMarket.
