Some public service providers will be required to maintain their websites, provide information and accept documents in English.
Relevant amendments are planned to be made to the Law on Investments in Entrepreneurship, which is included in the package of legislative amendments under the general title Contactless Business in Moldova. In particular, in order to stimulate investments and facilitate interaction between foreign investors and state institutions of Moldova, the Register of Public Services, information, forms, instructions, applications and other documents will also be available in English. They will have the same legal force as similar documents published in the state language. State institutions will be prohibited from refusing to accept documents in English, provided that all requirements regarding the form and content, as well as the rules for using an electronic signature, are met. This measure is aimed at improving the interaction of foreign investors with state institutions of Moldova. The draft law also specifies the mode of use by foreign citizens of the Mpower information system in order to ensure interaction between them and public/private institutions. In addition, a number of amendments are planned to be made to the Law on the regime of foreigners. Foreign citizens for employment in Moldova will not have to obtain the right to reside for work and a residence permit. However, for this they will have to pass electronic identification at the consulates or departments of the MFAEI. In this regard, a new consular fee will be introduced related to the identification of a foreigner in the embassies and consular offices of Moldova abroad: the assignment of a single identification number to a foreigner, without the need for his/her arrival on the territory of Moldova, and using electronic means and information systems will cost 100 lei.
