
ODA will launch a series of new programs in 2023 to support small and medium-sized enterprises.
The director of the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development of Moldova (ODA) Dumitru Pintea said this when presenting the results of ODA activity in 2022 and plans for 2023. 4 new programs will be launched. The matter concerns a new programme, "Women in business", which is under elaboration now and will be presented to the public in the first quarter of the current year; the programme "Small producers", which provides grants for family businesses and micro-enterprises; "Local suppliers" programme, which provides grants for increase in export potential of local producers; and "Rural tourism" programme, which provides grants for agri-businesses. Existing ODA programs will also be optimized. In addition, the Fund for Entrepreneurship and Economic Growth of Moldova (FACEM) will be officially launched. As ODA announced earlier, within the framework of the Fund for Entrepreneurship and Economic Growth of Moldova (FACEM), loans worth 2.84 billion lei will be provided to entrepreneurs during 2022-2025. The Fund's portfolio in 2022 was 70 million lei, in 2023 it will be 450 million lei, in 2024 - 1 billion lei, and in 2025 - 1.32 billion lei in 2025. At the same time, as noted by ODA, the Fund's portfolio can be further increased to 4 billion lei. Also, the Credit Guarantee Fund will be expanded. In particular, there will be launched portfolio guarantees with the support of the World Bank after the Fund's capitalization by 9.5 million euros.
