
The Supreme Security Council analyzed the energy security risks and made a number of recommendations to the government for the uninterrupted supply of electricity and gas.
In particular, Moldovan President Maia Sandu today convened a meeting of the country's Supreme Security Council, during which the risks of energy security were analyzed after the destruction of Ukraine's energy infrastructure due to massive bombings in recent weeks by Russia. The Supreme Security Council members listened to the information provided by the responsible institutions on the ground, including on the situation that arose after the mass blackouts yesterday, November 23rd. They also analyzed the contingency plans implemented by the authorities to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity and natural gas to citizens, the economy and government agencies across the country. Maia Sandu called on all institutions to increase their vigilance in identifying and quickly resolving incidents in the energy sector so that citizens and the business environment feel safe.
