Moldova and the EBRD signed documents on a new loan of 100 million euros for the implementation of the Roads of Moldova IV project.

This was announced by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, noting that this money will be allocated to our country on the basis of an amendment to the loan agreement between Moldova and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on construction and repair in the Republic of Moldova, which was signed on November 11 by Finance Minister Dumitru Budianschi and Executive Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus Matteo Patrone. After making changes, the project will restore more than 85 km of roads in the following sections: road R14, R6 - Codrul Nou – Soroca – Unguri - border with Ukraine, in the section Soroca - Arionești, total 31 km .; road R8.1, R8 - Arionesti - R14, section Arionești - Otaci, total 9.4 km; road M3 Chisinau - Comrat - Giurgiulesti - border with Romania, bypass section in Vulcanesti, total 8.58 km; road R33 Hincesti – Lapusna – M1, total 37.2 km. The amendment agreement will contribute to the full implementation of the Moldova Road Repair IV Project, which will bring economic benefits in the form of improving the condition and quality of the national road network by reducing transport costs for road users in Moldova, which will indirectly contribute to economic growth. The loan agreement between our country and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development regarding the construction and rehabilitation of roads in Moldova was signed on June 28, 2013 and ratified the same year.
