Moldova will improve the capacity of state authorities to achieve the goal of accession to the EU and introduce new positions in the government.
This is provided for in the relevant bill passed by the Moldovan parliament in the second reading. In particular, the document stipulates the establishment of positions of deputy secretary general. The possibility of establishing this position will be at the discretion of each leader, depending on the volume, complexity of tasks and the degree of involvement of a particular ministry in the accession process. The ministry's undersecretary general will help the minister in fulfilling the requirements for Moldova's accession to the European Union. In particular, he/she will ensure coordination of the elaboration and monitoring of compliance of requirements for Moldova's accession to EU; coordinate the activity of subdivisions of the central apparatus of the ministry to achieve the goals and objectives set in the process of implementation of the requirements for Moldova's accession to the EU; ensure the planning process, monitoring, assessment and reporting of the activities carried out to meet the requirements for Moldova's accession to the EU; ensure development and approval of draft normative acts in compliance with the requirements for the EU accession. The amendments also propose the creation of the Cabinet of Secretary General of the Government for the operative exercise of the duties and powers of the Secretary General of the Government. Another goal of the draft law is to strengthen the relationship between the Cabinet and Parliament. The authors of the bill urged young people with the necessary skills and foreign languages knowledge to join the government's efforts to speed up our country's accession to the European Union. // 08.09.2022 – InfoMarket
