
The government will create positions of 13 deputy secretaries general responsible for the implementation of the requirements for Moldova's accession to the European Union.
The relevant bill was discussed at a meeting in the State Chancellery. The draft provides that the Secretary General will ensure own activities with the help of State Secretaries or Deputy General Secretaries of the Government. The Deputy General - Secretaries will have the status of senior civil servants. They will be appointed and dismissed by the government, at the proposal of the ministers. The Deputy General-Secretary will be responsible for the implementation of activities related to the implementation of the requirement for Moldova's accession to the EU; provide support to the minister in the process of developing and monitoring the implementation of the requirements for Moldova's accession to the EU, represent the ministry in relations with government agencies and foreign structures, etc. Candidates for these positions must have professional experience in the field of European integration for at least 3 years, be fluent in the international language of communication and have computer skills. The state budget will require about 3.4 million lei per year to pay 13 deputy general-secretaries with a monthly salary of 22,000 lei. In addition, from January 1, 2023, it is proposed to establish the Cabinet of the General-Secretary of the Government.
